Back | East Village 80's |
I came to the East Village in late ‘85 and quickly hooked up with Paul Broadbeck and Carlo McCormick. Together we put on amazing shows Monday Nights at the Cat Club — Buttholes, Neubauten, Sonic Youth, Lydia Lunch, Die Kreuzen, etc. Also around that time I booked memorable gigs at the Love Club at Lismar Lounge — like White Zombie’s first show opening for Dinosaur (not yet Jr.). Then in ’87, I got blacklisted after booking GG Allin, who hurled fecal matter at the audience. Years later I’d work again with Cat Club manager Don Hill.
