The life of an independent music promoter ain’t easy. The bands, the fans, the venues, the vendors — they’re all a nightmare. The setbacks far outweigh the successes. But that’s where I first found my place in the scene, and every few years I reluctantly go back to do what I previously swore I’d given up for good. I look back fondly on those daze — which came in three distinct eras.
